A Monster king salmon is the fight you've been looking for.  With average Alaska salmon weighing between 25-65 pounds you are sure to be in for a fight you will never forget.  We caught a 45 pounder our first trip in 2006!!!

We at Alaska Salmon Charters invite you to join us to fish the pristine Mat Su Valley. We offer king salmon fishing trips, both half & full day.

All of our trips start at the Deshka Landing, on the Susitna river, is about 70 miles north of Anchorage.  We can meet in Anchorage or anywhere along the way.  We will be fishing the world-famous Deshka River or Alexander Creek.  

Generally we will meet at the Deshka Landing early in the morning and decide what river would be best, depending on where the hot spots are. You have several options that will give us the best chance to land a monster salmon.  We don't limit our clients to one place, we go where the action is. We use a 16 foot Lowe boat with a shallow running Honda 50 4 stroke that is the quitest motor on the river.

We offer a quality, safe charter. Parties are kept small for safety reasons.  In order to insure personalized and quality salmon fishing, we keep the number of clients to a minimum.

Although we cannot guarantee anything, our success rate in the 2006 season was very high.   All indications are the 2007 salmon season should be very good as well.  Email or call for details.

Every trip includes wonderful wildlife such as moose, eagles and other native animals.  Every trip is an adventure in wilderness that is sure to satisfy the avid outdoorsman.  Be sure to check out our custom trips as well - this lets you decide exactly where you want to be and for how long. It's a very popular option. 
Kings  usually range from 20-65 pounds. The season generally runs May15th 1st to July 15th. See Alaska Department of Fish & Game site for details. Here's the date ranges that you will normally have the best Alaska Fishing Regulations linkchance of catching the big one.

Alexander Creek: 5/25 - 7/10
Deshka River: 6/1 - 7/13
